OUR HISTORICAL LOCATION WAS NEAR THE MESS HALL FOR THE HANTHORN CANNERY,
the oldest cannery pier on the Columbia River.
The ladies of the Mess Hall kept the workers at Hanthorn Cannery fed while they produced 30,000 cases of canned salmon annually; much of it exported all over the world!
Local Astoria fishermen gather the catch of the day for the Columbia River Packers Association.
